I want to praise the Lord because Lota ask me to help her with her RJN as a book in PDF format for her family members, I was talking with my HH and I felt He led me to create a cover for her book, I just want to share it, because It was a new learning with Him and I enjoyed doing it... I just felt so excited 🙂
Maybe, if you like and agree (I am waiting for Lota's opinion too) we could use it for her novel 🙂
Ah, I almost forgot... I did it using Canva!! It is not an amazing app??
Wow, Anastasia, I loved it!!! Wow, Canva is very helpful, so many things we can do! Could you share with us how He led you to do it? Maybe this can be something that can help us in our LNGs covers 😀 Have you recorded it?
I saw in the ENG one that is written “Mi” instead of “MY” haha… Wow Canva is a great program.
Wow, Anastasia to be able to use Canva would be huge huge blessing. 🥳🥳🥳 Thank you so much for venturing out and working with your husband.
After opening the post and seeing the cover larger, I see how you were inspired to use the black font to tie in with the bride’s black shoes. And if I had to guess I am absolutely sure that Lota, as the author will love it like we all do!!!
Yet as the publisher, well, that comes with a little different perspective, and what we, Sara, and I, need to be SSG in earnest.
First of all, we have a overall restoration journey novel look that so far we have been pretty much adhering to. Like I always say, and will say again, and again, and again. When working with a client respect what they have prior and lay it out side by side. I know that I was well trained working with some of the top designers in Pensacola, Florida and then again in Springfield, Missouri. This didn’t happen by chance, but divine appointment for such a Time as this.
Sara, we also need to make sure that we provide cover designers with all of the cover text – – which means if we continue with what we’ve done with all the other restoration journey novels https://narrowroadpublishinghouse.com/rjns/
Maybe creating a template would help continuity. Sara either you can do this or maybe Anastasia can help.
Once there is a worksheet, a.k.a. Drive document shared in the NRP RADD collaboration, folder, https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/mobile/folders/1A-gONRhLPwXEvOkUMecpRTVTtY3pXJpz/1sJyk1zAkBBFc231i-NfNCQmBYC8n-1-a/1–bQC2eCgpUPpWNgtU1ClioSzZ18hDan/1sGujdDzbL-UR7jrZachnX7JkyZ1k-GeQ?sort=13&direction=a
Then I’ll leave a bit more that my Husband points out to me.
How does that sound Anastasia? Sarah are we in full agreement?
Gosh, I almost forgot I was so busy coaching! Ha ha ha thank you thank you thank you for enriching the colors of the Purchased iStock photo. It was one of the first things I was going to ask the designer to do and you did it beautifully.
Oh, and second, has your husband shown us how to create a full, showing the back to the cover? At the time we purchased this we were not looking for pictures that were horizontal so we wouldn’t have to create a back cover. However, I do know that if you duplicate this, and instead of enhancing the colors, you almost create it as a fog, so that black text can be easily read. It would be fantastic if we could have a tried and true method when we’re given just the front cover to work with like this one.
This is very exciting!! I completely agree with you in maintaining the RJN format as you have been doing, in fact, Lota expressed that she expected that cover because she knew it was the established order, so that’s fine by me.
I think we can adjust the format in Canva with the measurements of the cover that we have been doing, it can be in inches or pixels, we can do the test. Then make templates for when there is a new book and adjust from Canva the cover for each language.
