RADD: Abridged Book Covers

"To determine if a book is abridged from its cover, look for specific indicators such as the word “abridged,” “adapted,” “updated,” or phrases like “made easy/accessible/brought to life/etc. for young readers” on the cover, copyright page, or back of the title page. If a book has a Disney movie image on the cover, it is highly likely to be an abridged version. Additionally, checking the ISBN number online can provide product details that indicate whether the book is abridged."
