Whenever you have something like book covers that will be a series, you will want to look ahead.

Using the Living Lesson Books as example, Book1 and Book 2 are very green. Book 3 is lighter.

If you have a dark background, then white will just jump off the page. Even if it is small print, you will still be able to see it.

If it is a light colour, you will be able to go with a darker text.

If you can't see the text, then what is the point? Especially because we may sometimes use small pictures on the websites.
