Bug in a Wordfence Firewall

We got a warning from WordFence stating:

Today, at 2 pm Eastern US time, we deployed a firewall rule that caused an issue on WordPress websites using Wordfence Premium (not free), where the site is using the database instead of a file to store firewall rules. Most sites that have been reported to be affected are hosted on WPEngine, with some isolated reports from sites hosted on Pantheon.

If you are affected your site will likely white-screen or generate a 500 error.

If that is the case, let me know on Whatsapp so we are able to get your site back up.

Although I believe He will protect our sites, but if He allows it to happen, we will all learn something from it and come away wiser. ❀️

  1. Thank you Yvonne for letting us know. I will check again later, for now everything is working well praise Him!

  2. I am on eastern time and it’s only 10 AM right now so whatever could potentially happen hasn’t yet happened.
